        Adiel presented on AAU, AfREN, UBUNTU Net with AAU¢„s presentation material, and AfriNIC.  
        Nii presented on AfNOG, and Pierre on R&D activities based on UN document.

       Kilnam presented on APAN and CERNET on behalf of Jianping, and AsiaFI.  
       Hiroshi presented on WIDE including AI3 and SOI.

5. Review on Collaboration
    5.1 Event
        (a) 2008.11.23~28 Experimental Seminars at Mauritius during AfriNIC Meeting, Mauritius
                          IPv6 Tutorial and Conference
                          Measurement Seminar
 
            IPv6 Conference will be contributed by two presenters from Japan.  
            Their topics and time allocation needs to be defined properly with the organizer.
            The measurement seminar is presented by several people from Asia, Africa, and USA.
 
        (b) 2009.3.3  APAN-AsiaFI Workshop on Future Internet for The Other Billions, Kaohsiung
             This is the first joint workshop of APAN and AsiaFI.  We also expect African participation 
             on power and energy management, and other topics.  Professor Esaki is also expected to 
             contribute on the energy management.

       (c) 2009.5.10~22 AfNOG/AfriNIC/AfREN, Cairo
            3~4 half-day/one-day workshops in Measurement, IPv6, Future Internet, Remote Education,...
 
        We decided to expand the joint workshops to be 3-4 days in 2009.5.16-19 with
 
        IPv4 Depletion Workshop(hands-on)
        IPv6 Workshop
        Internet Application Workshop
        Internet Technology Workshop
 
        We will form the committee with the schedule shortly.
 
  5.2  Research/Development/Deployment/Demonstration
        We are looking into the following areas, 
	       IPv6
	       Measurement
	       Future Internet
	       Internet Applications including
        	eEducation
             	eGovernment
             	eMobility
             	Sensor Net
     
 5.3  Human Resource Development
      We decided to emphasize this area with "Window to/of East Asia" to be elaborated by Prof Esaki
      and others including
 	     - mutual visit(to Africa, and to Asia)
	     - degree programs(Ph.D, MS) with appropriate scholarships
      The Window to/of East Asia covers Africa, Asia and other continents, and we will come up with the detail
      program soon.  This will be elaborated at the future meetings.

 5.4  Position Paper
	The position paper on the Africa-Asia collaboration shall be developed in this month, followed by MoU
	and Organizing Committee development in the first quarter of 2009.
    
6. Discussion on Issues
    6.1 MoU for Participating Organizations
	MoU shall be developed in 2008.12 - 2009.4.#

   6.2 Organization Structure
            Organizing Committee, Working Groups,....
 
       We decided to have Organizing Committee, and Special Interest Groups
       (IPv6, Measurement, Future Internet, Application,..).

   6.3 Funding
        International Organizations, Multinational Companies, Domestic Funding 
        We decided to visit this issue in the next meeting since we were running out of time.

   6.4 Administration
         Secretariat, website,.....
  
        We decided to have the secretariat and the website(www.AfricaAsia.net) to be handled by AfriNIC initially,
        and Ms Lillian Sharpley will be in charge of the administration from this month.

  6.5 Schedule
        We will have the MoU to be signed in 2009Q1-Q2, followed by formation of Coordinating Committee in 2009Q1-Q2
        so that Africa-Asia Collaboration Forum will start officially in 2009.
